About
Mrs. Green Lab is ontstaan vanuit onze interesse in kleding, textiel en design… én vanuit onze zorg om het milieu.
Hoewel textiel natuurlijk heerlijk is om mee te werken, om te dragen of onder te slapen, is de productie meestal erg vervuilend.
Wij willen ons steentje bijdragen aan het verminderen van deze vervuiling door afvalproducten op een duurzame manier te hergebruiken voor het ontwerp en productie van nieuwe textielproducten en kunst.
Zo bewerken we textiel met oud ijzer en maken we inspirerende prints en patronen met roest.
In divers werk passen we de techniek van eco-prints en de vervaardiging van natuurlijke verfstoffen toe.
We geven onze workshops om onze kennis te delen en anderen te inspireren, zodat iedereen zelf kan ervaren wat er mogelijk is met textiel, zónder de aarde nog meer te belasten.
We maken alles zelf, ook de installaties en ophangsystemen, helemaal à la Mrs. Green Lab: zoveel mogelijk met gerecyclede materialen.

Mrs. Green Lab was developed on the basis of our interest in clothing, textiles and design… and our concern for the environment.
Although textiles are of course wonderful to work with, to wear and to sleep under, their production usually entails major pollution.
We want to do our bit by not polluting when producing textiles.
We reuse waste products in a sustainable way in order to design and create new textile products and artworks.
For example, we process textiles with scrap iron and then use rust to create inspiring prints and patterns. We did research into the eco-printing technique and the production of natural dyes and applied this in our work. We organize workshops in order to share our knowledge and inspire others.
In these workshops people can experience how one can can work with textiles without further burdening the earth. In addition, we produce everything ourselves, including the installations and hanging systems. Of course we do everything the Mrs. Green Lab way by using recycled materials.

Wij Regina & Carine, hebben samen al heel wat kleding en textiel door onze handen zien gaan.
We ontwerpen, stylen en produceren al jaren kostuums voor diverse theaterproducties.
Met onze kennis, inzet, en creativiteit willen we met Mrs. Green Lab een bijdrage leveren aan innovatie op het gebied van duurzaam textielgebruik.
Hergebruik van kleding en diverse restproducten is hierbij het uitgangspunt.
Onze werkwijze en benadering zijn speels, we bekijken alles met een open mind en een grote dosis humor.
Graag denken we mee over nieuwe projecten en initiatieven, dus mail ons als je een mooi project hebt dat bij Mrs. Green Lab past, en wie weet werken we er dan binnenkort samen aan.

We, Regina & Carine, have seen a lot of clothing and textiles go through our hands.
For years we have been designing, styling and producing costumes for various theater productions.
With Mrs. Green Lab we want to contribute our knowledge, commitment and creativity to innovation in the field of sustainable textile use.
The reuse of clothing and various residual products is the starting point.
We have playful approach and working method. We look at things with an open mind and a sense of humour.
We are open to new contributers projects and initiatives, so mail us if you have a project that fits Mrs. Green Lab, and who knows, we may work on it together soon.
